Stand up for Peace and Justice

It only takes an individual to cause a ripple of effect of peace, harmony, and happiness in our communities. I am a Soka Gakkai Buddhist, literally a world peace organization. The Sōka Gakkai is in 192 countries spreading peace and absolute happiness by sharing our own personal experiences of overcoming life’s challenges and struggles.

I study Nichiren Buddhism and there’s a special chant, which is the title of the Lotus Sutra- Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. The meaning of this chant is simply devoting ourselves to the universe, mystic law, your higher and greater, humble self (what ever you want to call it; if you’re Christian some people say that it’s God dwells inside of us, in other words we have all the courage, wisdom, and compassion inside our lives already, the chanting just brings it out). So anyways, Nam Myoho Renge Kyō is devoting ourself to our greater self, which is the mini universe inside us, and puts us in the rhythm of the Great universe through the causes we make and the vibrations we give off. Renge is the cause and effect; Every cause one makes there is an effect simultaneously, also known as karma. Renge represents the lotus flower which actually blooms and seeds at the same time- this is very rare; flowers seed first then it blooms. We are the lotus flower growing in muddy waters (life’s challenges) and blooming (overcoming the struggles and obstacles) at the same time. Life is all about the experience. Choose to be absolute happy by expressing you’re true nature and be true to yourself.

On September 23, 2018, there is a peace festival and a huge gathering of 50000 youth to stand up for peace and justice.
